Sorry to be so forward but I am so sick of getting told by people on here that they know what they are doing as far as databases. I had someone install 3 different databases and integrate them into a Wordpress site. The theme of the site is education. The site loads terribly slow and yet I have seen this exact setup on other sites and they are lightening fast. Do you feel you can help? I need someone that has a good eye for professional website layout as well. PM me and I will send you information on the site and what I want done. I need a detailed response of what you can do to fix it. Tell me why I should hire you - do you have other sites you can show me you have optimized? Be honest with me! Thanks
This has nothing to do with the hosting. I have several sites on several servers I own running very large databases - this is the only one with these issues.
Do you have any other sites with this host that are using large databases? what is the address of your site so we can see if its an actual problem with the database setup or something else entirely? Are there guests to your site complaining about it being slow or are you the only one that has noticed it so far? You will have to forgive me, I've come across alot of webmasters that think there server cant be beat with a base ball bat. Even tho the problem did turn out to be with the host and not the software running the site. Also an attractive offer does wonders to drive the professionals to your bid (in other words what is your budget).
WP is one of the more DB intensive scripts out there. It makes a lot of queries to produce a single page.
sounds like you probably need a wordpress expert: combined multipule queries into one, optimize the way wordpress works, and just optimize what your needs are specifically. What exactly does your site do that makes it so computationally intensive?
