I'm looking to hire (2) bloggers to post daily on my anime news blog Atlantic Anime. Before you decide you want to do this I want you to read this entire thread so you can get a feel for what I'm trying to achieve.

First off this is the job description:

I'm looking to hire (2) bloggers to post daily on my anime news blog Atlantic Anime. These bloggers need to be willing to work long term providing unique and insightful posts daily on anime news and happenings from several professional anime news sources. The bloggers will also make a create a graphic to go with their topic (nothing fancy, maybe a resized wallpaper or something). These bloggers will be paid monthly - $10 via paypal. Advancement depends on the success of this strategy.

So what is this "Atlantic Anime"?
Atlantic Anime is a news site focused on anime & manga. We report on everything anime/manga relevant to Japan and the US as well as the growing anime culture within North America and Europe. Our primary target audience is North America and Europe (mostly the USA). The site is ever growing and has a strong fan base. If you need an example, you may view the Anime News Network, which is one of the models the site follows. *it should be noted the Atlantic Anime does not support piracy*.

What is needed to be accepted?
    • You need to be a fan of anime and manga and have knowledge of things happening within the anime community. That's pie for an anime fan, but much much harder for a poser.
    • Our target audience is English speaking, English must be your first language.
    • You must be a good writer. Experienced bloggers are preferred but not required.
    • You must have time to do this. Shouldn't take more than 10-15 mins a day. Easily.
what do you need to do to get hired for this?
    1. Send me a PM with your interest.
    2. Send me a sample of your writing style (keep it short).
    3. Send me any links to any articles/blogs you've written (if applicable).

The best example of anything said above can be seen by simply exploring the site, which can be found at:

    Questions are welcomed and encouraged.....

Would it have to be blogging on current-current anime topics (Such as the new anime of Summer) or could it also have blogs about reviews of anime that the blogger has recently watched?

It could be. I have guys on Reviews already though. Mainly what I want these bloggers to focus on is the news aspect of anime & manga.

    Here's what I mean (examples):

    • Upcoming anime series
    • announcements of anime movies/series starting production (ie: Eva2, or Gundam Unicorn).
    • new animes being released in the US
    • mangas being canceled/anticipation of new mangas
    • trivial things like why the d.gray-man mangaka is still on hiatus (LOL)
    • etc

    stuff like that.

Here's some recent topics that highlight what I mean further:

    See what I mean? ;)

You have to start somewhere ;)
I'm a college student. If you don't like the offer don't take it. To some it's low, to others it's some easy pocket change a month to blog about something they like.

And really I'm giving you the sources. You seriously just pick a topic and regurgitate it in your own words. Like I said it's pie. I'm not asking you to go out and research, think up a massive post, and then type it. It's the anime/manga news, it's the same everywhere except in different words.

So you're wanting a 2-3 posts per day? so 62-92 posts for $10?

So probably .0001 cents per word?

    Just clarifying

I was thinking along the lines of one post per day, if that even. Sometimes the news is slow, especially simplified news. Just think of all the news that comes out a day, how much do you think is Anime Related? If we narrow down any further, how many stories are of somewhat interest to the fan base? Point is on some days there is no news to even report on.

Your the one doing the math.....I could care less on a $$$/word ratio. I'm looking for a few bloggers who want to make an extra buck and write about a topic they like (and would otherwise be writing about anyway), not a bunch of greedy writers looking to leech as much money as they can from a webmaster.

    The request is now closed
I actually got some good people from this campaign, despite the useless and irrelevant banter.

I understand, but realize I'm not asking irrelevant questions. You're posting on this type of forum, where 99% of the deals that go down are for money. Some people make a living on here, and don't 'leech' money from a webmaster.

    Good luck ~

It didn't used to be ;)

This forum used to be made up of good people, many honest people looking for work. A place where even a noob could ask a stupid question and still receive answer (without being flamed). I know many people here are still like that, but you have to realize that this place is full of greed now, and many users here are scammers. I actually hate this place anymore due to the immaturity levels. Unfortunately it's the only place to get some things done so I can't always stay away. Just look how much flaming goes on. I just wanted to give you my impression so you might understand my side a tad better. </end-rant>

Just note.....the ones posting here criticized me, but the ones who listened to me and PM'ed me have a much different opinion; they wish to help.
