WTF what to do

I have just been checking my awstats for my website watchskyonyourpc.com

and find i am recievieng traffic from www.216hits.com a bloody autosurf

i hate these websites as anything else they get you banned from adsense

how can i prevent this site sending me traffic

i have emailed them but still awaiting response

 

ive never heard of a way you can stop traffic coming from a certain source, other than an IP address ban that comes with some content managements scripts out there. if there is a solution id also like to know it cus i have a similar problem.

 

should be able to do this in robots.txt am i right?

 

That stops search engine robots, not visitors from a certain source.

 

Use your htaccess file to block the referers that come from the offending URL. I don't know how to do it personally, but it can be done this way:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=htaccess+block+referer

If you're not familiar with messing with you .htaccess file: you should save a copy of it before you modify it & once you've added the code be sure your website works like it's supposed to.
