He makes the front page of digg with imasuper . com and has this message on his page The "sponsors" are AdSense ads.
He must be crazy, because he's looking for trouble with a statement like that. The trouble is he'll be the first person to burst into tears when they eventually find out he's been soliciting clicks. Bandwidth will be a whole lot more expensive then!
Well since there is a discussion about digg, let me ask you - does anyone know how many diggs does it take for a story to reach the front page? I know you cant define it by a finite number, but still an approximate figure would be helpful. Why I am asking this is bcoz I have a story about my site at digg and it has got 20 diggs so far. If the site is going to hit the digg home page soon, I must get ready with some caching features for my site otherwise the host will suspend me. Generally I dont like caching as it makes it difficult to update the site and view the results.
damn I had about 75 digs on 1 of my stories.. but I got it in 48 hours.. to slow maybe.. didnt make front page it was this story by the way :click
I think it depends on what section your story is in, how old the story is, and how much 'competition' there is that day. I've been dugg twice, for a combined total of around 4,000 Diggs, but the stories weren't on the front page very long - i think one of them (with over 1,300 diggs as of today, but about 800 after a day or two when it was first posted) never made it to the front page.
I wonder if it would fly if instead of asking them to click, you just put something like... "Google doesn't allow me to ask you to click, so make up your own mind"
Besides Diggs, it also depends on the category. You need fewer clicks to reach the sports homepage on Digg than the Apple section.
Why are you asking someone to report him? If it works it works, let the guy make his own mistakes but don't be the guy to nark him out because your jealous
No .. or expect a letter if you do so.. Just make it flow as a proccess vs telling them to ..I bet if he to the time to make a nice "golden path" to conversion he do even beter and keep the account. :0) Just my take on it ..!
Agreed. If he worked it right he would make more than he is now. Of course he'll never collect that money now assuming someone reported him.
That is truly bad news.\ As for the question of diggs, depening on who digs you, if you get a digg by the top ten members thats all you would need to make the front page.
Seriously I dont understand how someone lucky enough to get dugg, can be stupid enough to solicit clicks
Why do people do such stupid things. I am sure the person is fully aware of the TOS. Its just a stupid, moronic way to get an account banned.
I love this ignorant, simpleton mentality. You and the other guy sound like the type of people who sees a crime, but instead of reporting it, says to themselves, "Well, it has nothing to do with me," and then walks on. It's that kind of non-plussed (and even ignorant -- "because your jealous"???) attitude that will doom the network you are currently making money from. You allow enough guys like this to cheat Adsense undeterred and your CPC will plummet to .00005 cents a click. It is the OVERALL health of the system that you should be concern about, not throwing out stupid comments like "because your jealous" and "nark him out". What are you, 12 years old? Be an adult, learn some responsibility, and try to think beyond the next few hours at a time.
You can't a ask 12 year old (personally, looking at my own kids, I think he's close to 9) to act like an adult Jack. Our only hope is that his mommy is going to use parental control on his Spiderman PC after they installed Vista.
