Wtf Is With Adsense?

    My tax forum is showing car/automotive adsense ads for several days straight. The last week the site was making $6 a day on average, but since all those automotive banner appeared the CTR went down significantly and the profits dropped to $3, which is 50%

    right now is only one.. sometimes all of them relate to cars and all of them are banners both horizontal and vertical

    upper banner some accounting software ads, right column all tax related ads. thats what i see.

    In that case you will see just one full ad(text/image) on whole banner like the dp banner which mostly show one ad.

    You right click the ad link, select PROPERTIES, copy the Address (URL) part, paste it in note pad and get the url from there.

    I assume the reason why your CTR would have dropped by such a rate is because of AdSense have made a change to the format of their ads. The ads used to be completely hyperlinked (no matter where the user clicked on the banner, it would direct them to the advertiser's website), but now AdSense have decided to only hyperlink the title and the URL of the ads which removes clicks of which were made by mistake. Good for advertisers, bad for publishers.

    All tax ad related. Maybe diff ads shows when you open your site, adsense ads depends on location.

    As I stated earlier, I doubt that the reason why his CTR is low is because of the ads are showing different ads anyway. It is because of Google has blocked out accidental clicks.
