MIne just went one UP. page which was at third is at 2nd now and got a tag page too in the search results So 2nd and 3rd result is mine Donno whether Google will throw me down :| Thanks.
No need to speculate. It's most likely related to a permanent algorithm change. Listen to Matt Cutts talking about in the video at the URL below. http://www.redflymarketing.com/blog/view-from-the-other-side-of-the-may-day-update/
Yes I do have noticed some changes, however it seemed to be helpful for myself and my company. I have got a very strong two word keyword for my field and now my site is in the 10th position in google. So its definately going good for me
yes, I read that but it seems to be about long tail terms, for me are the big ones that were dropped..
yes, there is little I can do but wait and see what happens next I've seen websites down in many niches, is not a niche problem, I think is related to backlinks
I noticed this in March. Our google traffic went down 60%. But we had solid positions on keywords we always had. We lost our long tail (4 or more words) keyword traffic, big time. As I researched the hell out of this, I come to find google is more paying attention to individual pages rather than domain authority. We had a solid link profile, but only our pages with solid individual links held it together. This means we need to build links specifically for certain pages and not rely on domain authority anymore.
I agree with sin. Google results are mostly crappy. And the reasons - mostly the so called seo gurus. They are paid to bring the crappy sites to top. Obviously the problem was to happen sooner or later.
Check this thread out for some insights to the new algorithm: http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/4144824.htm
Google will be the next Altvista in a year or so. Watch it die. Facebook is coming! Facebook is coming!
anyway, don't care if google is dead or not, keep on topic anyone lost rankings and traffic for the main words, not long tail terms, in the last 2-3 days?
This thread is nothing but whining and BS. Google changes their algorithm all the time. If there's a problem, it's that nobody here knows anything about SEO, they listen to that "pay me to link build" bullshit and expect to stay at the top.
you have no idea what you are talking about, this thread is not whining and BS. These are major changes, probably your shitty websites will be next Spam another thread with your BS. You SEO God..
@Petyyard - In answer to your question - "BIG YES". However I've only noticed this with my keyword domain sites, so maybe google is giving them less weight? However having said that I'm talking about going from page 1 to page 300 and that would be a little harsh....
