Probably you are smartpriced or you just have the low paying keywords :(

Clicks are up today, but CPC is half the normal amount.

    Bittersweet, my friends. Bittersweet.

It really depends on what ad they click. I've gotten 1 cent clicks before and i've gotten a 2 dollar click once.

I've had 46 clicks with 50 cents before on my gossip site.
I have the same problem as you... stupid google and their 'smart pricing'

I guess find a good alternative, or a different niche. I don't think celebrity/gossip related sites have high paying keywords.

My clicks are always going up and down. I have no idea why that happens, perhaps it's the ad that's up at that particular moment that does it.

    :D

Hrmmm... Google depends on advertisers that have active ads that match your keywords, so the results vary GREATLY... I've learned it the hard way... Example:

    Friday, June 1, 2007 1,718 13 0.76% $0.28 $0.48
    Saturday, June 16, 2007 2,343 24 1.02% $4.67 $10.93

Very comparable traffic figures as you can see, yet vastly different results... And it keeps fluctuating.

There must be low paying ads showing up on your site, you might have been smartpriced. I don't know much about celeb sites & adsense, do they usually pay low per click?
