WTF is going on here 6 clicks and only 12 cents?

what the hell is going on here? can anyone explain it?? my site is a celebrity gossip site.

 

Maybe there not high paying clicks?

 

google works in a mysterious way.. like god
once i had two clicks and get $2.30, so you see....

 

It goes up and down. Focus on getting more visitors, that will increase your bottom line.

 

Some days I average 20 or 30 cents per click and others it will be like 2 or 3 cents per click -- all on the same channel

Who knows how this works, I sure dont

Smart pricing is the only reason for that. Try to put good quality content on your site and use high paying keywords.

 

probably ads that were clicked were very low paying

 

It goes up and down no matter what is your keyword. Someday is crap like that and someday 1 click can earn up to over a dollar.

That's pretty normal especially for your niche

 

I've seen the same on my site you really can't predict what you are going to get. For example some days you'll get 1 click and it can be over a $1.00+ , some days you'll get 5 clicks and get less then $1.00.

depends what ads are showing, how much the advertiser is paying per click and where they are on your page to (above/below the fold).

 

Indeed, other forums seem to pull Smart Pricing from the hat as the answer to everything related to low earnings and it's simply not the case. Apart from anything else, as long as it's working properly, SP won't explain short-term variations. Mind you, the other day I saw a post where someone described SP as an Adsense tool for rewarding good sites so it's not that bad...

I may be just the keyword Celebrity, gossip, etc. because someone with a similar problem was experience problems with the payout per click they were receiving.

 

First click this month was worth 1.99, total for next 7 clicks was 0.39!! Smartpricing is to blame

Smart Pricing is an Adwords function implemented by Google that compares the effectiveness of a keyword targeted content ad with a comparable ad on search results. The idea is that if, as an Adwords campaigner, you receive a click on one of your ads on a content site and that click is less likely to result in a conversion than a click from a Google search then you are 'compensated' for this lower possibility by having the cost of that click reduced. Obviously for Adsense publishers this means that the earnings for the click are lower BUT smart pricing can't really be used to explain a drop in earnings for established sites where little has changed.

Where do you find high paying keywords. I have only had about 10 clicks on my site. One click got $1.50, but 3 or 4 of them made 1 cent
