Ah ha - a self confessed BIN-bumper! I'm going to patent that nickname.

(BIN-bumper = someone who repeatedly posts BINs decreasing at the rate of a few dollars in order to bump their thread)

Actually, NO. Again, READ before you type. I originally set a BIN. Then a full 24 hours later I reduced the BIN by FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS for a 24 hour sale. Give me a break man, "A FEW DOLLARS".

A few dollars is a figure of speech - the idea holds. So I suppose, since you just said you got an infraction for bumping that thread by changing the BIN, you're not a BIN-bumper then?

This is ridiculous. I'm not going to argue about this. The other forums allow you to bump as long as the new post has information regarding updating the current offer or updating the BIN, and those forums are respected in the industry for real business dealings. I'm not going to play around with a forum that's members think they are in high school (or actually still are in high school).
"BIN Bumper" - give me a break!

Also, the rules state a Bump is when someone bumps their post to specifically reach the top. When you're updating your sales information, in my case at least, that was not what I was trying to do. An LLL.com sale wouldn't NEED to be bumped to be seen.

Right, so as well as being a BIN-bumper you're now trying to imply Digital Point isn't respected in the industry? I think I hit a nerve before. Anyway, enough teasing for tonight!

No, this forum is as well, but how are we supposed to sell if an update of our sale is considered a bump? I wouldn't be here if it wasn't a place of business. I never had a problem with this forum until just now. Most members here have been great to me and now all the children come out and decide to leave infractions and bad rep.

And, I really don't care if all these posts are giving me all this bad rep. If that's what it takes for the people who put this forum together to realize that things are wrong, than so be it. I'm trying to help the community, not ruin it. Obviously these problems just happened recently, so something isn't right. My "fake" bad rep won't hurt me as those who have done business with me know I'm as real as it gets.

Well, I'm a self-confessed BIN bumper :D I always drop the BIN by 20%, and the truth is, someone usually snags the site/domain when I do. In my opinion that makes it a good business practice for myself and my buyers. If the reduced BIN gives the sale new appeal to new buyers, everybody wins.

If DP's rules catch that in the scope of bumping I would geninely suggest it be broadened a bit to allow that (maybe with a minimum decrease of 20%). If I complete my sale because of it and a buyer grabs a site or domain at a good price because of it, it can only be beneficial to the forum.

I will say that in BinderGang's case it was a little overboard. Your price drops were large but it was somewhere in the realm of 10 bumps - if a rule like this were to be put into place it should probably only allow for one bump in order to avoid the people out there who would take advantage.

Again, just my two cents. No beef!

I got 3 infractions on the same thread once. In my perspective getting an infraction isn't so bad. It just means, hey I smoked too much weed today, I should stop before I get arrested.

I can understand that because I can relate.
DP serves as a base on which I make a considerable portion of my income and a place where I learn the most about how to make more.

Means the fool can't and won't live without DP.

I say we take DP offline for a day and see what happens to him, or what he does to himself. :D

    This post proves three things:

    1. You haven't read through this thread before posting.

    2. You didn't even read the entire post you referenced before posting.

    3. You never learned the meaning of respect and the potential danger in calling a man names without cause.

It turns my stomach the way people speak to and deal with one another here.

Perhaps I replied too much, OK. On the other forums I sell on, your allowed to reply to your post as many times as need be as long as your updating the thread with new offers, a BIN, a new BIN, etc. It's not considered BUMPING. I know this because on one of the forums I'm talking about, bumping is not allowed at all, and I've updated my thread many times with new offers and such and have received NO warnings or infractions.

So, if it's different on DP, so be it. But, you should still be allowed to reply to your post to update on new offers and add BIN's at least once every 24 hours.

However, one infraction is all that's needed. If I did it again after the infraction, than fine, send over another. But, I received two infractions with no warning and negative reputation with filth written in the comments. Real classy stuff.

BinderGang, you are allowed to reduce the BIN once, but not more than once. That's what one of the moderators said to me. If no one still wants your offer you better close the auction and make a new one a few days later. That's what I had to do (and some other members as well) instead of bumping and getting infractions. :)

i am completely in support for BinderGang's case. I myself am against this no updating policy.

ya we should be allowed one update every 24 hours.

I believe some moderators are making up their own rules.

And why has crazy_rob gone so crazy these days?

i myself have never heard of this ONE BIN REDUCTION ALLOWED rule officially by any mod.. and i do not want to try it out because some other mod will give me infractions for that, and as it is i will have no proof of this rule..

i think this rule is nothing but some buzz started off by someone
