WTF is Craigslist Deal!?!?

Alright, I am really past PISSED OFF that my blood is boiling.

WTF is up with Craigslist!?!? It seems every ad, even legitimate one's are getting tossed off ridiculously. And I believe its because someone is having a joy ride contest and clicking the hell out of the "Prohibited" or "SPAM" link.

Funny thing is, I click a Prohibited link about 20-25 times and the post is still up there. What the fuck is Craigslist's deal? Do they love SPAM/junk posts instead of legitimate ones.

From my experience there are certain types of ads that the craigslist community tend to flag the heck out of

*cough*Automatic scripts.* It's extremely easy to make a script that loads a page of 100 posting links where the links point to the flag URL instead of the ads...and then have a program crawl all the flaging URLs. Rince and repeat a few times with different IP addresses...bye bye posts!!!!! (No, I've never done this myself! I use my CL scripts to edit the listing pages, but not to flag postings!!)

They are cracking down there, from what I heard. They recently instated some kind of anti-spam measure, making people phone verify their accounts.

Their deal is to make it as difficult as possible with spam filters and now new PVA and then the horde of flag happy campers who flag anything that makes their mouse trigger fingers twitch.

Craigslist listings are "noarchive" "no-cache", hence i would recommend either Galaxy or for United Kingdom users Gumtree... :p

Why do any of you think that craigslist is for your advertising? Are you so pathetic that you do not know how to advertise legitimately?
