WTF: I gave away a PR5 domain sometime back!?!?!

I used to own this domain, but I gave it away some time... Recently I did a PR check on it. It's a PR5, that's about the highest PR I got in my network of sites(PR4s).

    Feeling so stupid now! :D

Ive done that quite a bit as well. Sold many PR 0 domains only to see them get PR 3 in less than a month. Just gotta move on :)

When u gave it away it was PR 0 , now it is PR 5 , does indicate that the guy who has taken it might have worked hard on it . Also you don't have any domain with that rating does strengthen the belief that guy has really worked hard ( like using his own network) to make it PR 5

That happened to me a few times as well. It sucks, but the important thing is to learn the lesson. I didn't :)

Can you get a PR for a domain alone?

pr5 means nothing if the anchor text or relevancy of links is poor

I remember selling one PR4 dmoz listed domain along with site to someone. The guy did nothing on the site. I sold just few days before PR update. To my surprise, when I checked later the PR of that domain hit PR6.

For sure it was an amazing experience for me:rolleyes:
