Dont go ahead in such request randomly because random requests from IP's will trigger Google's security system and you will be treated as a bot trying to do automated searches

You must have been doing a lot of searching and very quickly. Your not banned. Just wait a few minutes and search again. Or simply hit the back key and search for something different.

As izeaus said, Google has security in place.

If you run automated google queries such a certain rank position software, IBP etc google will BAN your IP address, it is only temporary, few hours at most. but if you are on a dynamic ip address, disconnect from the net and reconnect. that should sort out your issue.

that would surely be static, not dynamic, wouldn't it?

Can't be a block for to many searches as you were getting a serp and the error message is when the site is clicked on right.

You have gotten that error due to your site having some dynamic pages that are created from querying google yes? Something like a script to translate your pages? If so are they cached? If so change the refresh rate. If they are not cached try and organise this if practical. When clicking uncached pages yourself wait 15 seconds or so between clicks.

    Nope

I got the axact same message the other day
it was due to running automated query software a lot IBP iirc

I just had a few cups of cofee and a bit to eat and logged on a few hours later and it was fine again. :)

It's perfectly normal. ISPs especially the ones outside developed countries cramp a lot of home users with a single public IP. Google has the anti-ddos system that automatically blocks the request from such shared IPs.

It's not necessarily a matter of automated searches or frequent searches. The Santy worm released at Christmas 2004 (or 2005?) used Google to search for forums labeled "phpBB" with certain version numbers indicating vulnerability. At that time, Google acted to intercept the targetted phrases and serve up that warning page. They continued that practice, I believe adding other "security" search terms, so using certain search phrases will get you that page.

It's nothing personal. They're aiming at bots, not you. :)
