The logic of banks is something different from real logic.

I had a bank tell me a Yahoo! check bounced.

Another bank refused to cash an IRS refund check.

Just take the check to another branch or another bank.

There is no point trying to argue with these people once they make up their minds.

I didn't suggest that Citibank employees can disclose but if there is no money, the bank will not cash the check, unless, Google has OD protection.

I think is your bank mistake.

Sometime when I am going to bank... I make sure that I find there somebody who really do a great job... because you might find a new bank employer or somebody who have just been moved to the department so he doesn't how things work out there.

The easiest answer for your bank employer was to say that the google's bank account is empty - which definietly is wrong.

    Cheers! :D

Did you try to cash the check or deposit the check? By cash I mean get the bank to give you cash for the check on the spot or did you want to deposit the check to your account - and then wait 5 days for it to clear before you could access the funds. If you have no money in your account then they may not cash the check.
If you tried to deposit the check and the clerk said there was no money in Google's account then go back and talk to the manager. The clerk must have made a mistake.

You don't seem to be from US. In US one can cash a check on spot, provided...(but we are not discussing how to cash a check on spot)...

I think its more a problem with your bank and not Google. Of course,, will be able to cash any cheques they pay out.

May Day!!!! May Day!!!!............... Vrroooooooooooooom plane crashes.

Nah I would have to agree with the majority that the teller made the mistake. Next time ask for their supervisor or manager to double check(only if this was at a Citibank) If it wasnt Citibank. Than teller made huge mistake. And yes you can do a direct deposit as well. Which is nice. Comes a lot quicker than snail mail.
