WTF: Drastic drop in content network impressions

I'm a bit concerned about this and wonder if others have experienced the same. The situation is quite strange if you consider the following:

I have a campaign on content network only. I normally average about a million impressions per day day. Over the last 2 days, i received about 1.7 million per day. Then today, all of a sudden, 15 hours into my day, I am only standing at 123 619.

Seems to me that there must have been some sort of update/slap of some sort. It could be QS but this has never affected me until now which leaves me to speculate that it must be a new change in g's QS algo. I'm certain that if I up my bids, I will increase the impressions.

The good news is that my credit card will take a break but the bad news is my sales are way down today. Anyone else care to comment?

I run a content network only campaign and have experienced an increase in my impressions lately.

Also, I am not sure about your idea concerning Quality Score. How could you even check the QS as Google says it is not relevant in the content network and doesn't provide you with a score?

I have had this happen before... threw up new domain and everything.... ran fine for a week, boom. dead again.

Happened 4 times, called google, they said everything was normal, .... yea, sure.

Lately, if you are running certain offers, they will kill your campaign and possible account.

you can see what sites you're getting impressions from in the Placement Reports. compare impressions from the day before they dropped out, to the day after they dropped out. it could be that a big site (or a few sites) added your domain to their blocked advertisers/competitors list if they didn't like your ad. it wouldn't be uncommon.

Maybe Google caught you watching porn again and decided to punish you. Have you downloaded any of their tools (Google toolbar, Desktop, etc)? Hey don't get mad at me. I'm just saying. Afterall it's possible isn't it?

It could be that you've been outbid. Raise you bid and see what happens. Make sure your conversion rates and visitor value justifies this first before jumping on it.
