I was checking my eMail the other day and there was an eMail from Adsense... They banned my account for invalid clicks.... I didn't even do them..... Would there be a good reason behind this???

You will have to talk to them about this. It doesn't matter who is making the clicks, it is your responsibility in the eyes of google... Good luck

Why not just send Google an email and explain your situation. Be honest and it might help.

    what's the site?

    Here's a guess:
hidden words to try to generate higher paying keywords.

That is perhaps the root of it, if your site was gambling orientated.

For the people saying his account was banned for multiple accounts or gambling content - He specifically stated they banned him for "INVALID CLICKS" (I assume thats what their email stated).

Why would Adsense say they banned you for bad clicks, when they were banning you for something else ?

I said what I said because I didn't think the original poster was being completely honest. Regardless there were so many reasons for a ban, maybe they were also clicking their own ads.

What is the saying, "Though doth protest too much"

Actually, the gambling part came from his username. I've never seen his site.

    "Invalid Clicks" covers a multitude.

The term is applied to self-generated clicks, i.e. clicking on your own ads; someone else fraudulently clicking on your ads; ad-clicking software; being a member of an ad-clicking network; hidden keywords which generate higher paying ads than your site would otherwise display; garbage text for the sole purpose of generating ads; clicks from sites which do not meet the Adsense TOS such as sites which contain offensive material, porn, gambling ... it's a long list.

my account was also banned (though almost a year ago) for invalid clicks. i am not sure what was done with my account, but somehow they thought i was doing invalid clicks to generate more income for myself. i emailed them a couple weeks ago to see if they would "re-evaluate" my account (i saw someone on a forum say they did this and got their account back). they replied saying they dont re-evaluate accounts banned for invalid clicks.

after it happened i tried getting information out of them about it, but they wouldnt give me any. i really wish i had my adsense account still, because i was just starting to make nice cash from it right before they banned me (maybe from those "invalid clicks i made").

now i am stuck with lesser alternatives that make me just about nothing such as Kanoodle. *sigh*

besides self clicking, nobody can protect themselves from these.. so adsense is going to go around banning anyone who is targeted by a jealous competitor?

hidden kw's, bad text, etc is all "CONTENT". Why wouldn't they say "you have content breaking the TOS" .... not "invalid clicks"

Come on now.. they might not be very forthcoming with specific details.. but i doubt they're THAT bad about it.

No, because it gets flagged, investigated and shown up for what it is.

Why should they? Anything that is against the TOS generates invalid clicks. That's why the TOS is so specific and it's also why it's up to the Adsense publisher to familiarise themselves with them -- so they know what is and what isn't legitimate use of Adsense.

Nothing "bad" about it. Break the TOS and the clicks are invalid, simple as that.

As a publisher, it is also your responsibility to keep an eye on your Adsense account for suspicious activity and to notify Google if you think there is something untowards.

I saw, many n00bs go for invalid clicks.. and get trapped into google's eagle eye... this is the one thing every new adsense publisher should avoid.. DO NOT TEST HOW MUCH YOUR ADS ARE PAYING YOU... couple my friends got banned even when I had warned them not to do that stuff... but alas!!
