WTF? Affiliates pretending to be vendors

i see this Clickbank "vendor": http://hitmoviesonline.com/
and notice that he has nothing to sell. The links here are obviously affiliate links.

Going all the way to checkout, I see (as you might predict) that it does not terminate in a CB checkout page.

Is this common? I mean - what the hell? An affiliate who pretends to be a vendor? Doesn't Clickbank review before approving so-called vendor products?

You got me confused, really. What is wrong with that page? This is one of MANY low quality landing pages you can find on the Web. The guy put some promo material along with the his aff links to the vendor sites... Isn't that what we all do?

Are you saying this is a vendor in the Clickbank market place? I'm sure Clickbank doesn't allow this.

No. Landing page quality isn't my point here, though you're right - the quality is terrible.

I'm saying that this guy is passing himself off as a Clickbank Vendor. He's got himself listed in the Marketplace as a Vendor. BUT:

--he's an affiliate for other products - not a Vendor of his own
--he's giving CB affiliates the chance to take a cut of his own Commission Junction (or wherever) affiliate commission
--he's not even selling Clickbank products

if you report that site to clickbank,
they will surely remove it from the marketplace.

You are right, in this case he needs to be reported and removed from the marketplace...

I don't believe someone is actually resorting to tactics like that. I think you should go ahead and report him.

I cannot find his so-called "product" listed in Marketplace anymore. What a scam. Like a fool, I forgot to take note of his Vendor ID... well, at least it's gone.
