    Im confused about afilliate network. Let's say I start a cashback site and i want to get merchants for my site. What excatly do merchants need for tracking traffic from my website to theirs and giving me payments. Should I buy an affiliate network and give merchants a copy or what?

    They will usually give u a subid to use inorder to track clicks purchases etc. The merchant will then send data back to your site that you database to credit users etc. This is the one reason running a cashback or freebie site is hard. You have to get the data, sort it, credit users, etc. That is why I said use xtremefreebie.com because there offers are 100% managed and users are credited for offers instantly. its the best script for it.
