PS3, you play online for FREE while 360 you pay for a crappy subscription which isn't worth buying.

    PS3. +Blu-ray +3D (meh..) +free play +Gran Turismo (eventually) etc.etc....
There is talk of a premium PSN which will cost money, and give you 'better stuff'. Dangerous road for Sony to go down imho.
But as long as we can still play our games for free I'll be happy.
I will never ever 'subscribe' to a game, or a service that allows me to play it.

xbox 360 all the way, yes the online service costs money but the online community is far greater than that of PS3'S.

    Two PS3s....sold them both.
    Two Xbox's.
Got the first as a friend had it and I had to have it - even though I "never ever" wanted it. Sold it after a month. Got another a couple months before the PS3 was released in the UK. Haven't looked back since.

I eventually sold the PS3 I had, and the Wii. Got another Wii, sold it, got another PS3, sold it, got another Wii - still have it atm, not used for ages though, considering selling it for a PS3 slim .

Xbox's on the other hand....Currently have three in the house. Two elite's and 1 60GB version. Our elite broke down and we had cover on it, so sent it off. Ended up getting a replacement but, in that time, we bought an Elite to keep us going. - Was when Modern Warfare 2 came out - hence the second Xbox as well, so both me and my partner could play. We had two before when the first Modern Warfare came out but, sold one of them because that was the only game we needed separate xbox's for and the only time the second got used. Rest of the time, the games were either multiplayer splitscreen, or only one of us wanted to play. Haven't touched MW2 in ages but, still got the second one, as has come in handy with other games. Myself playing Sonic Racing and my partner DarkSiders. Or myself Darksiders and my partner...well summit else lol. Actually, was vice versa for a little while but, not for long cuz I'm the Sonic fan :p.

The only game I miss on the PS3 and would consider getting another for, is InFamous. Rest of the games, if multi platform, id rather get achievements instead of trophies, which is also one of the reasons we got a second xbox instead of MW2 for the PS3, so we could both play together on live but, also cuz neither of us wanted trophies for it but achievements instead.

I think that PS3 is better because it needs only crappy subscription on monthly basis.and it also depend on you guys.because it is possible to have variation in the cost of game.

The PS3 can't be hacked as of yet. Fully anyway. It was partially hacked and then Sony removed the install other OS feature (yup, Sony WILL remove features which were a huge selling point for the console if it suits them and there's currently at least 4 class action lawsuits against them because of this).

The Xbox on the other hand, it can be hacked but, Microsoft can find out and can ban the console from Xbox Live. As well as banning you from Live (can't play online, can't download demos etc), you also can't play a game then copy your gamertag over to keep the gamerscore as the xbox will corrupt your profile and save game. Annoying and grrrr yes but, also a very smart move in combating piracy. Better than Sony's anyway :|. But, it is possible to do.

With regards to games, I used to find PS3 games much more expensive but, recently they've been the same price, or even cheaper. But it depends on the store, region, the game, etc.

As for playing online, well with an Xbox, you'd need to be close to the modem to plug in through ethernet, or buy a WiFi adapter (£50-£60 in the UK). And then buy Live (£40 for 12 months in shops but, possible to get 13 months for £30 online). Where as with the PS3, it has WiFi built in and playing online is free. But, idk bout where you are but, the PS3 is a minimum of £100 more here in the UK, so while some will say the Xbox is crap because you have to buy this and that extra to play online, the console is actually cheaper! I can get a 120GB elite for £200 but, a 120GB PS3 will cost me £300.

The free online aspect is nice, but overall it doesn't beat the comfortable 360 controller and appealing lighting effects the 360 brings to games.
