I have a website that discusses art - primarily from the 1300s to the 1800s. I need a drawing of some kind to represent artists known as "master of", "student of" etc. - those folks for whom we have wonderful paintings but no clue who the artist was. More than likely, they were all men so I'm looking for something male-ish but not so much so that it would look idiotic if the artist was one day discovered to have indeed been female. I don't really like most of the silhouettes I've seen online. They kinda all look the same. They're really dark and sorta dorky. I'm looking for something a bit more stylized and more artistic and light. It could perhaps include someone holding a brush or artist palette but that is not mandatory. The site has well-researched biographies so I want something serious but more interesting than what is already available. The image would need to be around 300 by 300 pixels and scale down to thumbnail size cleanly. Contest will run until midnight Friday December 7th. Payment via Paypal.
You got it. I didn't plan on ending the contest until after that anyway. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Masaccio(1401-1428),Student of Masolino (1338-1447) Never teached any student but Michelangelo (1475-1564) was inspired by him. here is a picture of Masaccio
Thank you daniyal but the idea was to have a picture that didn't actually look like a recognizable artist as it will be used for several different people.
I'm looking for a drawing that can be used to represent artists for whom we have no name. Since it will be used for multiple artists, it should not look like someone in real life. I also want something that looks like a sketch or drawing, not a painting. These are several examples of drawings that I like... http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-9328293-dancing-ballerina.php?st=b9b4b10 http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-10043352-crying-ballerina.php?st=b9b4b10 http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-10032705-dancing-ballerina.php?st=b9b4b10 They are light and airy and more artistic than most of the other silhouettes people use. Yes, they are of ballerinas. No, I do not want a ballerina with a paint brush. Those are just styled similarly to what I am envisioning. Hope that makes it more clear what I'm hoping for.
