WTB: Personal Blog promotion to build readership

    I've started up a personal blog. It's completely non profit - no ads, nothing. I think the content I write is pretty interesting. It's already optimised in terms of SEO and permalinks, so it's indexed, but I would like to gain some loyal readership.

    I have accounts setup at socialmarker and other sites, but would like someone who has some experience in promoting blogs to help me get the site out there. I still write all content myself. Again as I'm not selling anything, it's just a personal blog, so my budget on this isn't large, I'd say up to $50-100 depending on what you're able to do.
