    Hello,

Im looking for Online backup service/space to store fully archived rar/zip files in.

These files are NOT public and no one but our system admins will download them.

    They are not illegal files.

    Looking for offers :)

    regards

Had you ever considered getting your own Dedicated server and doing the backup yourself?

I can offer you cheap Virtual Backup Servers (VPS for backups). Not oversold and entirely dedicated to just backup purposes; so because of the RAM and CPU power they are deployed with it's not recommended to run anything but a backup server (enough to run most rsync or wget). Though you can do what you please.

Please PM me for prices. As a "intro" I can say:
the biggest package has 80 GB space, 400 GB bandwidth and costs $21 per month. Isn't it great? :D

Check out these unmanaged VPS from FSckVPS which would ideal for backups services. also you can use for hosting services too, incase your main server goes down. this is not possible with backup only services. a VPS offers flexibility that a backup service cannot offer

Yes, those might be great for web hosting usage, but if he just wants backup hosting, why would we want to enforce him to buy something he doesn't really need?

He was looking for backup space. Something solid, intended just for backup purposes.

    No offense. :)

The reason going for VPS is they have full root access and are more flexible than backup service. like if your hosting provider goes down, you can host your sites on your VPS as well.

    @HostingProvider
Nobody is pushing anyone. OP opened a thread asking for suggestions and all of us are giving him some. Also I believe customers these are smarter than one thinks, he really knows want exactly he wants. so you can't take him for a ride.

Guys - im not looking for oversold offers - 15GB space and unmetered transfer for 3$ a month is most likely to be oversold. And just to make sure every one knows what im on about ...

Im looking for online backup service / space (VPS's with lots of space can also be put as offers - RAM is not a big issue, we just need a good place to store zipped backups of some services, which we will later retrieve using wget or similar.

Im *NOT* looking for shared/reseller or the sort of hosting.

@ HostingProvider - I will add you to msn so we can speak there :)

Keep the offers coming im still looking for good deals :D

    regards

try aDrive.com (2 GB max file size) or Megaupload.com (Unlimited). I don't know about the speeds but they have FTP/HTTP remote support for an extremely low price. Good luck! :)
