Looking for a server to host around 100gb of files and have around 10TB of transfer, Anyone Can Offer This? I am not looking for ffmpeg hosting or regular hosting for a script, just simple file hosting for 50mb files. Thanks.
For 100 GB space and 10 TB bandwidth on any kind of server (shared, VPS, Dedicated) will require a significant budget. Probably at least $350 a month or more by a rough guess. So what exactly is your budget? Do you need a control panel or anything, or will it strictly be file hosting with direct linking allowed? Thanks. And fosforito, your "Our Shared Plan: 500 GB Disk Space + 10,000 GB Bandwidth, Unlimited Domains: $3.01/month" is a joke.... extreme overselling at it's best. Please beware of him Myspace-Designs.
Yes, it's oversold, like any other company. But, I have to say, big companies like HostGator also do it. 7 times it. And my server doesn't have such limits... only on usage per account.
Actually, it's NOT like any other company. I would never oversell any plan and nor do many other companies I know of. But if that's what you want to do if you think it will help, fine. I was just giving a word of caution to the OP here.
you need a really good budget for that type of server mate closest will be with fdcservers.net where you can get shared 100mbps connections up to 9000 GB BW per month. no but they sure seem to have very strong upstream and high lvel BW providers with makes them have xxxx GBPS connection so they can still give accounts..
Does anyone know if anybody can beat 1and1.co.uk servers? I was with them for a while and never had a problem, get full 100mbit unmetered. trying to find something similar to them but looks like they cant be beaten Balsca
Hello, As per your requirements, we at eUKhost would like to offer you a fully managed UK based dedicated server. We offer a range of fully managed Linux/Windows dedicated servers which you can view at http://www.eukhost.com/dedicated-server-hosting.php
As a general 'rule of thumb', nothing is unlimited as it seems some of their servers say for bandwidth and I can guarantee that you aren't getting a dedicated 100Mbps line all to yourself for anything less than $1500 a month. But anyway, if you really believe they can do that, then no, no one can beat that. :-\
