I am looking for some proxy hosting. Please post here or PM me what you can offer with prices for /mo and /year. I would like to have lots of bandwidth(unmetered), and unlimited amount of sites to host, with the ability for cheap extra IPs for each new site if needed. As of right now I only have one proxy to host. which has not been used in a month or 2 now. Had to many problems with last host. Was paying about $2/mo for 300mb space, 100gb transfer, 1 free fresh unique IP, $1/mo for extra IP. Not going to talk about that Host, b/c I do not want to bash anyone but I had to much downtime, and invoices was always off from what I was supposed to pay.
whats your current budget proxies eat alot of resources, im scared that in 2-8$ you can get a reliable and 100% uptime host still let me know your budget
You should check out one of my recent posts about Proxy Hosting services at my proxy webmaster blog. It lets you know the starting price and spec's for hosting packages with web hosts that allow proxy websites.
Only TechEntrance, Monsterprox are non-oversellers ( except my proxy private service ) Proxy hosting is different.
You're jumping to some very big conclusions there newzone, do you have any proof to verify other hosts over sell? I've found many reliable web hosts have steadily grown in this area lately. It's one thing to promote your own hosting service, it's another to say all other proxy hosts providing over x amount of resources will provide "bad service" - it's not true.
For small proxies any shared hosted package is enough, i hosted proxies with Godaddy ... so is no big deal to offer "quality" 1,000 GB for 1 $ as long your resource usage is under .... 2 % CPU but for real proxies you need more. I had one guy who signed wednesday night, in 1 day and few hours used 25 GB with 1 proxy, do you think someone is really able to offer 15 GB - 20 GB daily usage for 5 $ / month without suspending the account ...
Godaddy does not allow proxy site hosting and its the same with most general purpose web hosts. We are meant to be discussing other specialized proxy hosts. As for your example, it depends on many factors. If the person hosting it has a top of the range server and is working with small enough margins then anything is possible. It also depends how far the host and webmaster themselves is willing to work to prevent bandwidth abuse like hot linking.

I know, i made a comparison ( i mean there is no big difference between hosting a proxy with Godaddy vs some proxy hosts. Both will suspend your account for the same reasons.
