    iv bought a few domains for less than $5
    and its not hard to find free hosting! even without ads!
    i dont pay for hosting on a few of my domains and never had a problem with them some of them have better support than my paid hosting!

    It is regged at godaddy, I'm not sure if I could transfer a hosting account to you, but they have ads anyway

    There are plenty of free hosting out there, though

    You will only get crap for $5. Why not go $20 you will at least get more bites and may get something half decent.

    If you get a crap domain for $5 or a half decent one for $20 the difference over time will be more than %400 ROI.
