You want to sign up there? Or you want another host providing the same specs? If you like that why are you not signing up there?

First off, you are very bright not to go with 1&1, they are terrible. If you are looking at shared hosting, you should go with reputable companies like Hostgator, etc.

agreed, 1&1 is baddie - i had a few domains with them, they get mad if you want to transfer out which is annoying

also their packages are oversold, $3.99 for 300gb of bandwidth isn't real - you should expect to pay around $1/gb of space and since they are offering 10gb the price should be $10 - but companies like this usually have something in their TOS that is used against you when they suspend your account for using too much resources

you should check the WHT forums for better deals like this or just go around hosting offer threads and ask around.

They have the money to accommodate if you're actually planning to use what you purchase. However, since most people don't use more than a few megs, they may not need to accommodate at all.

Their overselling is certainly better than a much smaller, DP based, companies overselling.

no doubt about that - they also oversell less than other companies such as hostgator, monsterhost, etc. - I just dont' like 1&1 because of past experiences with them. They don't have the best support and they like to host your domain hostage if you plan on moving out which I find annoying.

If the top command reports 2, it means 200%. Unless you have more than one core. In that case it's Load/# of CPU = %
