"Video not found" error for Facebook Videos - Yesterday, 01:09 AM So as many of you might have noticed, yesterday and earlier today, all Facebook videos gave a "Video not found" error. Well if you saw this error, it means you were NOT using firefox (or Safari), since there they worked fine. We have fixed this issue already, and it will work in all browsers again, though we could not do anything about the PS3 or Macs using Safari. If we find a way to fix them there though, we will. So If it didnt become apparently obvious already, Use Firefox for anime streaming. Its the best option you have. Using firefox will dramatically lower the reports of broken links we get (which 90% of the time they actually work, you just suck!) and also PLEASE check the mirrors under the video player for more options of the same episode before reporting. This is explanation given by facebook expert (one of the admin)!!! This is my paypal id:
Also, make sure that u have an internet connection of reasonable speed and the latest version on flash player and java. The thing with firefox is if you are downloading any movies using torrentz or anyother file simultaneously when watching the video, firefox will not have the bandwidth to work on videos. Make sure that when you want to view a video, close all other application with leaving the firefox alone to access the internet, then the video should work just fine. If you liked my reply, send me a "thank u and payment sent message" and payment to paypal : If you have anymore query PM me or contact me on gtalk: . Regards
Some other solutions, which I searched online: 1. First of all make sure that the video you are trying to upload, does not exceed the size, time, and format restrictions. The fact that you can't see your video doesn't mean that facebook isn't uploading it, it can take a while for a video to be encoded, you can check the list of videos that are being encoded for your account at "Videos Encoding", in your "My Video" page. 2. Currently, The only solution is to not upload video's to facebook, and do it via youtube instead. Why can't I upload video's to facebook? Based on various tests we have performed, we have found that they have put a timeout & a various amount of settings which is why your videos can't get uploaded (unless you have a super fast broadband which can beat their timeout time) This is the reason why the video hangs. The web developer just needs to check the PHP settings, and coding to change the timeout/settings. Will facebook fix the problem? Well, after looking at this problem for about a year now, and still they haven't fixed it, we have no idea at all. This simple problem should take no longer than 10 mins to sort out. It clearly shows either the web developer can't be bothered, or FaceBook don't have the resources to allow you to upload videos So, Whats your solution? Upload video's to sites like YouTube and post them on facebook, trust me, it will save you time and effort. All you do is post the link, compared to going onto facebook > uploading the video > find out it hangs about half way > retry > fail . 3. Just wait. FB has a bug in the status bar function. It is uploading. You just have to wait. Once it is done it will tell you. I can understand the confusion with this. FB needs to get this patched up NOW! 4. just leave it as it is if you see the uploading freezing! while uploading a 126 MB movie, It freezed after uploading 45MB only! but then I left it as it is.. and after 3 hours, it gave me the msg "your file is uploaded successfully" 5. Couldn't load AVI file from my Canon PowerShot SD400 into Facebook. So I loaded and then saved it in Windows Movie Maker. The resulting WMV file loaded successfully. 6. I had the same problem with facebooks video uploader. Get a program called cyberlink powerdirector 8, u can edit your videos and upload them to facebook thru the program itself. 7. I had the same problem, and so I ran the video using quicktime, and then when I tried to upload it again it worked. Regards
