At the first time i came to the buy, sell, & trade forum, i'm interested to be a content or article writer, i saw many thread with title [WTB] Article writer blablablabla. And i'm applying to be the writer there, of course most of the WTB Thread Starter want some samples of article before they decide to hiring you. But suddenly i'm thinking like this:

The WTB TS want to hire people to make them articles, but before that, you have to give them some articles for sample, if there are 10 people applying and they give their article for samples, the WTB TS got free unique 10 articles, and of course the worst thing that i'm thinking is the WTB TS can just say "your article is not good in grammar and not qualified", they just dump you out (dumb noob writer) but they've already got your articles :p

After that they selling your sample articles here or any other forums, sounds good rite? easy money!

So what i want to tell here is, "is there any ways to prevent / know if some WTB TS are not a cheap ass people who wants to get some easy money by selling those sample articles?"

what do you think about my thoughts? make sense? do you think there are may of WTB people here like that? wanna hear your opinion for this, thank you.

Send them half and article or half of ten articles, so that way, if they want your work they have to pay for the full articles.

if you're doing that, they won't pay you for your article or they won't hire you. besides i'm already test one, and he said "i'm not passed to be the writer because my content is not good", fortunately it's just some rewrite article without good finishing and i told him that, because i don't want my unique article written by myself just gone for the sample without get back something. my opinion here is there are so many people cheating the writer like that, cmiiw.

It is possible some will do that. As others have said, you should provide just part of the article or, one thing I've heard others do, which makes it not as easy to copy the article, is to use print screen on the article and send it as an image, rather than the text.
If I apply for writing positions, I tend to link to past work and only apply for work in the same niches I have past samples of, whether it be my own site, or a story I've written for someone else.

And, like to see the same back. If the article isn't on the nich I'm looking for, I may ask for a sample article, as it demonstrates the users writing ability but, also the ability to research the subject. I do always say I'll py them for the sample though. Unless it really is terrible. I won't pay for crap. And even if it's a story I've already got (I provide the link to my blog and expect them to look to see if the news on there as well, as they will need to do so if hired), if it's any good, I'll pay them for it and post it on another blog (again, unless it's crap :p).

I agree with mcfox. I am also an article writer and as sample I send only 1/4th of the full article. If they want the full one then it should be purchased.

I've got another suggestion for you; instead of applying to be a writer, why don't you write some articles and put them up in a WTS thread, along with a sample article (or 1/4 of it)? There's always someone looking for the kind of niche you're writing about. This way, you can be sure that no one's going to run away with a free sample of your work, and you still get paid for the job.

I've done article writing before at other forums, and I always use the screenshot method. :)
