i have 1 blog with PR 3 with 900+ backlink. I allways posting article once per week, well i have got a prety good alexa. But google last update, hit my pagerank to PR2. Why? a little info, im selling my blogroll but just 2 slot and paid review, total 3 posting and each posting have 2 anchot text.
have you heard about articles removed by admin who owner of articles directories so your back links will drop. second thing is your web site having yahoo back links but not Google back links. Yahoo back links and Google back links are different. yahoo count all links with follow or nofollow but Google not do that.
hmm so yahoo backlink its bad way for indicated backlink? btw how many google backlink to get PR3? im sory too many question, im newbie in link development hhe
Looks like Google decided to discount, or ignore some of your backlinks. This happens all the time, and for many different reasons. Perhaps some of your backlinks became no-follow. Perhaps some of your backlinks were on domains that expired. Perhaps some of your backlinks were on sites that were identified as 'bad neighborhoods'. The list of possibility goes on and on. Not only that, but there's a good change that your PR actually dropped a couple of months ago. Although Google only updates the PR on the toolbar every 3 or 4 months, that actually update your live PR continuously. Don't worry. As I said, this is a very common occurance in internet marketing. Just continue to build links on quality relevant sites on a regualar basis, and you'll have your PR back in no time.
