Is the .WS domain seen as a .com .org .info .net
or as a country one: .de .us .nl etc.. ?

"becoming" .website? It's been "becomming" .website since .web was turned down by IANA/netsollobby. It never really caught on, fortunately/unfortunately, and now is a late night TV pitch and an eBay MLM scheme, unfortunately.
There are some who have had good success in the extension, but there are better places to spend your money at the moment.

    Dont think so.

Type in myspace in google and a .ws comes third

out of 167,000,000 results is not to bad for a .ws

All domain names are being given a fair and equal treatment by all search engines.

I'm using various type of domains and with good quality contents I have no problem in getting high ranking.

There have been rumours for years that .edu and .gov sites are treated better by search engines. I've never noticed this though - and all other tlds seem to be treated pretty equally.

If you are trying to appeal to a certain country though, a country specific tld (eg .co.uk) can work in your favour.

What country did you think .ws came from?

.tv is from Tuvalu, just round the corner

.sc (as used by www.whois.sc for years before they got bought) is the Seychelles I believe

It's a good little money spinner for some of those small nations.
