How much is .ws respectful and worth these days? I was going to register a domain name. It turned out that all were taken except .ws so I was wondering should I buy it or not... What do you guys think about it?
No idea... I did the same, bought Footballer.ws but the highest I've received for it is $10, only about $3 above reg fee...
Looks like it sucks. You cannot sell it. And what are the odds that someone will type domain.ws in their browser? Close to 0.

you wouldn't buy a .ws for type in traffic, you would buy it to develop a brand and people would find it from your brand awareness.... I registered a name a few days ago .. http://organic.gd (which is going to be selling organic clothing, gourmet food and all sorts of things and it is meaning "Organic Goods") now I don't expect any type in traffic from that but it is one nice name to have as been able to just use the term organic.gd on my business cards, promotions, advertising is my plan... I believe this is the future of domains as there are no decent dot coms left anymore so people will get used to seeing domains like this in the future, register some good generics while you still can, in a few years time they will be worth heaps!
At the minute I don't think their worth anything but if you have a good website idea then they are worth registering. At the end of the day, if you plan to develop the domain and then sell it on, it could be worth a lot!
