I did a search on .ws and ws but could find nothing.

    I came across this offer:

    http://ws-domains.marinerblue.com/

but I'm not sure that it was this site.

As far as I understood it, it was like a pyramid scheme.

You pay 10$ per month and then get commission on people whom you recruit.

I started filling in the form but then had second thoughts and didn't enter my credit card details, which were required for the seven day free trial.

Now they want me to complete the credit card details or cancel.

The only way to cancel is to ring their USA phone number and I live in the UK.

It seems to me that the transaction wasn't completed, so there is nothing to cancel.

Anyone else had dealings with Global Domains International?

    Thanks.

I received a reply from customer support:

They sound very dodgy. Good on you for getting free. Cancelling should always be easy, you shouldn't have to leap through hoops.

I suspect that it gives them a chance to give the caller a sales pitch and try to persuade them not to cancel.

I notice that some sites don't like .tk names, so I think that it's safest to stick with .com or .biz or in the UK, .co.uk.
