Wrong Ads language - I'm getting spanish

    I own a site Funkx.com which caters to Orkut users. All the content there is in English. I have also checked to make sure all the adsense preferences are English too.

    However, the ads I'm getting are all in Spanish.. i think. I went to Adsense help and have filled a help request but as usual .. I havent got any reply.

    Is anyone else facing the same problem? Do you have any suggestion?

    Theres a line which need to be inserted into code to target the ads in a specific language. Can't remember it now. May be Googling can help you a bit.

    some time I got chines adsense at one of my site :) but its ok if only one adsense

    Abik.. isnt editing adsense code against its TOS ?

    That's not Spanish, it's Portuguese. It shouldn't be a huge surprise to you since the biggest concentration of Orkut users is in Brazil. Many Brazilian advertisers bid on Orkut-related keywords to get in front of the young social networkers.

    AdSense ads showing according to the visitor location, if you live on Brazil and looking at at site the in the UK you will get ads in Portuguese.

    Also as SmallPotatoes said if Google don't have ads in the visitor language it will show the ads that is most relevant even if it is in the wrong language and you current visitor will not understand a word :)
