Wrong Ads Being Triggered in Adwords

When I set up 3 different ad groups in my campaign, the ads that are being shown for a keyword in Ad Group 1 is the ad in ad group 2. The words are no the same. Some of the keyphrases contain the same word.
For example, the first ad group is for lawsuit loans. All of the keywords there are for lawsuit loans tightly related words.
The second group is lawsuit cash advance.
But what is happening is that the ad for lawsuit cash advance is showing up for the lawsuit loans keywords.
Can anyone offer suggestions as to why this is happening?

This is a good one..happen all the time.

Google can trigger a different ad related to a synonym if the quality is better. Lawsuit loan and lawsuit cach advance are probably "related" according to Goggle.

To fix this you will need to add negative keywords. In "Lawsuit loan" you add cash advance as negative and same for the other one!

Possibly you added the keywords as broad matches.

You may also add some negative keywords as Irazu suggests.

What I'm thinking is that perhaps the KW are broader matched just like ianthekisser said. Try them out again with phrasal and exact matches and see if it works for you along with negative keywords
