Congrats Sigma. I misse it by just one day (I had guessed Oct 20th). Though I could argue that it was Oct 20th my local time (GMT+5.5)
Very close ajeet - I actually ended up using the criteria of when the toolbarqueries Google datacenter showed the update, and it was barely before midnight before I saw it too - very close
Any particular reason for that date? Many seem to be basing it on other site's calculations, their own calculations, while others are picking like they would lottery numbers - birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Just curious?
No not really just a random guess, like most of my everyday life seem to be I don't have any cosmic re-son, I just looked at what every body put then took a stab at it.
True enough. Sadly, that won't be a winning guess, albeit a very accurate one nonetheless. Of course, you could also say "Whenever Matt Cutts' blog says 'wink, wink, nudge, nudge' ... "
Someone already guess Jan. 19th (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=31384&page=14) as the date, but since it was me, I'll share it with you. Yes, it's a nice number - that happens to be my wife's birthday.
I think you're the first and hence only one .... good luck. I'm generally not to anxious about PR updates, but I've been doing some serious SEO and link building for a few high-powered clients and I must admit to being a little anxious and excited about this one .... hopefully we won't have to wait too long. More over, I'm hopefully for good results obviously.
It seems like the update is coming as I noticed some changes in many website PRs. Not good changes for many of the sites yet though.
Your probably just seeing datacenters going back to the old pre-jagger backlinks / pr. It's been going on now for like a month. If you look you'll see all the PR's are exactly what they were prior to the latest toolbar update.
do you have any info on why they are going back on this? and if this will result in major update or just moving some servers?
