If India was so reach and powerful how small country that is ten times less than India managed to conquer it. I agree that in past, two thousand years ago India was great country but present-day India has not much in common with it. Indians just live on the ruins of the past. And not Britain destroyed this civilization but Indians themselves. BTW not only India was occupied by Britain or other countries. But now living standard there is much higher than in India.

Economics of India grows fast only due to the fact of world's cheapest man power. Most of Indians earn a pittance. And it is profitable for foreign companies to start production there. But when the situation will change and Indians will become more reach (taking into consideration expanding population, it is almost impossible ) these companies will leave India and go to another poor country. Thus there are two ways of evolution but the results are the same - poverty. The only way is to stop population growth and to understand reality.

Look at Indians' posts here. Most of them have the same meaning "India is the best", "Indians are genius" "Indians invented everything" and blablabla. If you prefer any nation over other ones it is RACISM! Indians are racist themselves!

 

i agree with you if anyone prefers any nation over any other nation then it is being racist but please first look who started all this? if anyone says anything about our country then it's our duty to give then clarification! it's you and others who are saying anything about INDIA and we are just giving clarifications . we INDIANS have not said a single line in against of any country! it's very clear now who is being racist..

 

You say that Indians are better that other nations. It is racism. And I and users above didn't post anything offensive just TRUTH. Nobody said that its nation batter than other one, but you do!

That's a great article abut India, and an even better article for Pakistanis to motivate them. the reality is that India has been a democratic and free nation for all of it's independence, and very few nations that were previously colonies can say that. Botswana in Africa comes to mind, and it is also a country that is wealthier per capita than many of its neighbors.

I think Indians should be congratulated for their many achievements in less than 60 years, it will be interesting to see how India develops over the next 60 years. Sadly, I think Pakistan might still be the same.

 

please don't misinterpret me! i've no where said that INDIA is better than another country.. i haven't compared INDIA with other country.. INDIA is multi-religious country.. in our daily life we are dealing with people of almost every religion which are there in the world and are friends with them and in our country Christians,Muslims and other religions who are in minority given more rights by government than which are given to us! i celebrate Christmas,ID etc., as i celebrate as i celebrate other festivals.. so please don't misinterpret me.

A useless topic to talk on! Everyone stands a place in the society. You just can't say this or that or compare anyone and everyone....I personally think it's useless and a little narrow minded thinking.

Taking out facts like these proves nothing to me. It's what you that represent a society.

Very interesting article and very well written.

 

I can understand someone being proud of their country and what their people are achieving, it is quite natural. Think of how they were British subjects for so long and didn't have the chance to prosper on their own accord. But you do not mention the caste system still being the dominant social norm, how one is born and will die in that caste without a chance for advancement. When you have a ruling caste with money, of course they are going to have the only chance at making even more money, for they control most of it anyway.

 

Its a nice article..........and nothing is wrong in comparing two countries if you will learn some thing good from another one................

 

Probably the most nice article I have ever been came across on net about our country. We appreciate it our Pakistani brother! Yes, if we don't fight or if we don't focus on religion then our country will develop fast. This is true that we have still many problems, specially from politicians - no offense- but true.
