writing own blogs vs hiring someone to do it

I wondered how many people hire people to ghostwrite blog posts for you. Every time I think of blogging I find it difficult to provide something unique and interesting to bring to the blog, and my writing, although good, can come out somewhat awkward. I do not want to spend an hour editing my blog post though. Is hiring copywriters a viable option for outsourcing this work?

Hiring a copywriter is fine and it appears that you be able to save an hour a day that you could use for something else.

It definitely would...I just wondered if the articles would come across as being poor and unoriginal due to it being written by someone not in the industry I am in. Thank you for your response. Is there any other opinions out there on this?

I never knew you could hire somebody to make blog posts for you. Thats pretty interesting although in my own opinion i think that what you would write yourself vs somebody else would be more on topic and sound better since its comming from your own words and not somebody else's; who would be getting paid to write for you.

I think hiring a ghostwriter is just fine. Especially when u just don't have the time or have a weak writing skills but anyway guess it all depend with the individual. Some hiring a ghostwriter would b a thing for them others not.

I know how you feel muskfella, I didn't really know that it could be done before 3 weeks ago either. Whats even more amazing to me is that you can hire people to give your service or product positive reviews for promotion on the web, which in retrospect figures because I believe looking back I have seen examples of it. It makes you be very careful to do good due diligence in buying a product or service. I don't believe I would go that far to promote myself, as I think it crosses the line into dishonesty, but buying blog posts...if it can save myself time, inform people and serve my ultimate goal of promoting my business...I would go for it.

I usually do all the writing for my sites, but hiring someone else can be beneficial if you don't have enough time or seem to be lacking in inspiration at a particular moment in time.

I don't think of hiring someone as a ghost writer. Rather they are staff or freelance writers. Credit your work to yourself and the outsource stuff to staff.

If you're not a good writer, it makes more sense to hire someone to write your blogs and yes, it's a viable alternative.

You can try to hire a writer that is experienced in your industry. If not, a good writer will research the topic and find out as much information as possible. Then, if the writer doesn't seem to have a grasp of the topic, you can coach him/her with the right info.

I don't see many people doing this, but it's certainly a possibility: hire someone to help you come up with ideas. I would pay something like $.25 - $1 per idea. Then, you write the articles and if you're concerned about the quality hire an editor to proofread them before you post it. Overall, with buying ideas and hiring an editor you could come out a little cheaper than paying a writer.

A blog post or review can be written quick if you have the time to focus on it.
