Hi all, I'm currently in Vegas attending a trade show and just received a $5 bill as change that has writing and ink stamps plastered all over it. It's promotional stuff for a site called Where's George.com - apparently it's a bill tracking website where they track where bills have travelled to etc. Anyway my main concern is that am I able to use this bill? Considering that literally half of it has stamps and writing over it I'm just wondering whether people will think it's a fake or whether people will consider it "invalid". Any help would be greatly appreciated
I came across a bill with one stamp on it for http://www.wheresgeorge.com/ . I just logged back in and found no one else has reported that bill since I did in 2007. At the time, I looked into it and apparently it was somehow OK to do.
Yeah man, worse case just hand it in to a bank or give it to a cashier up the other way/half under another note.
hmm...people always find writing on bills interesting...to leave their mark somehow it's another way to personalize the impersonal world
