    hi...

i was wondering if there are any writers here who have experience with, and more importantly ENJOY writing about cultural and international issues or themes.

i, for one, like to write about culture, international relations and also travel (though that's a somewhat different ball game).

maybe we could discuss some writing techniques ?

International relations is a passion of mine (not one I dedicate enough time to anymore though), but it's not something I've done much writing in. I nearly did a double masters in IR / PR before deciding to take a break to focus on my business for a few years. The three niches you mentioned are pretty different in the sense of the type of writing you can do. What are you looking to do? Blog? Write Web content? Write for magazines or journals?

I work for the political correspondents at The Times. I have a degree in politics. Curiously enough, it's not something I've ever actually been asked to write about.

Yeah, gives us an idea of what you want to do/talk about. That would be a good stepping stone for further talks and discussions on the topic.
