Writing for a third party, submit to ezine or not?

If I guest blog an article for another website and this website credits me for the article and give me a back link should I then take this same article and place it on my website?

Or should I take it and place it on enzine, linking back to my own site?

    Or do neither?

Don't want to get caught up in a duplicate content issue, although I am the article creator I wouldn't want it to look like I am stealing the material as I gave it to a third party to publish first.

I would probably just let the third party keep the article and not post it on my site, it's sort of like an exchange - a back link in return for your article.

Not encourage to submit the same article to ezine or other article directory. If you really want to submit, then better you re-write the article rather than submit the same article, it can be caught as duplicate content or spamming

It is not good to publish or submit an article which is already published at somewhere else. If you want to re-use the article, you must rewrite it.

better not to publish elsewhere. Each original article/guest post should be published only once.

I agree. It's like exchange.. As people said, if you want to submit it elsewhere, just re-write it. For every service/directory/site you need unique article. Plus if owner of the site will find exact same article in a different place, he will not be happy, for sure.

I would take the article, spin it, then put it on enzine.

Spinning content isn't the way to go after panda updates.

I would just rewrite the article. Just get it and add more information or reword some stuff and submit it.
