    For landing page your writing should be extremely convincing to convert your readers into buyers.
    You have to convince them to buy with your writing skills. I think that is the difference, Aside this Pro. Writers here at DP will guide your further. :) (I'm not a writer though, just got converting IM skills)

    A sales letter can be a landing page whereas not every landing page will be a sales letter.

    A landing page is where a sale or a lead is squeezed.

    A landing page can be a pre-sell to a sales page as well.

    In my experience a landing page is typically the page that convinces the reader to click through to the actual sales page and buy the product. Often these pages will encourage visitors to enter their e-mail addresses for more information and then they are either sent to the page with the sales page or the sales information is sent to them via e-mail.

    Both need to have strong copy to encourage readers to act, but usually the landing page is shorter format than the sales page as it is meant to capture the reader's curiosity and make them want to learn more while the sales page is meant to inspire the sale itself.

    Of course, some people don't bother with the two-step system and the landing page becomes the sales page. Does that help? :)

    landing page is pre sales letter...on landing page, you may write convincingly that the lead your want to capture or the sales page you want the reader find out is important for them...
