Righ now i have a product that i am kind of promoting. People say to write articles to creat back links and such but how much could you write about one thing. Maybe 4 different articles at most. Like what else could i be writing about thats related to my thiing that i'm doing. how do you keep this traffic consistant from these articles.
Depends on the topic. You don't have to keep the article subject completely specific. You can have more broad subjects, and you won't be penalized one bit. I would know, I've been doing it for a long time now. You don't necessarily get consistent traffic from articles- just backlink effect. One tactic I do is to backlink your articles too! (Write articles for your articles) It sounds crazy, but it works for both PR juice and traffic. Good luck!
Perhaps it's a good time to learn a little bit more about whatever it is you're doing? Might be me, but I can't think of one item/niche/whatever that lends itself to just 4 articles. What are the different ways to use the product? Are there any tips for using/buying the product? Are there safety guidelines? What are the results/benefits of using the product? Who has used the product and how? Any recent news or developments? Is the product alone in its niche or are there others to compare it to? Can it be reviewed by parts that make it up? Is it part of a larger market that can be talked about (for instance: your product is a specific Turkish coffee and you talk about coffee in general). And so on. I don't even know what product you're talking about, but I know I could come up with 20 article ideas inside of an hour for it. Do some Google searching for your product and see what others are talking about. There's so many ideas out there floating around.
Good advice marketjunction. It would help to know more about the product, everything you market online will require a slightly different strategy. I would also suggest that you incorporate additional marketing methods - article marketing IS effecive, but only as part of a balanced marketing diet. Here are a few things I could suggest in addition to article marketing: 1. Create simple 2 minute videos and submit to sites like Youtube/Yahoo video etc 2. Set-up lenses in squidoo, and try and generate free traffic through web 2.0 sites 3. Learn about simple, free marketing techniques - the internet is very fragmented, and traffic is spread out in many different locations. You need to cover as many of these as possible so find the leading sources of traffic for whatever you're trying to promote and penetrate it. Things like Yahoo Answers, Squidoo, Craiglist, Gumtree (etc) all have millions of people looking for whatever it is you're looking to promote.
go to ezinearticles.com type in your keywords . review a few of the articles and see how theya re diffrent and how would some one be able to see a product from different angels. or if you have a small budget you can go to www.Elance.com and hire a copy writer and ask them to write a few articles make sure to specify what kind of articles and how many words. good luck
Acutally, you can write articles on same exact topic over and over again. If you have created a winning article that can pull visitors, I encourage you to do this.
