I have a question about writing articles for distribution. I had a freelancer write some articles for my site a few months back. I have the articles posted in my site. Is there a downside to placing these articles on free content sites for others to download? Or should I have other articles written primarily for this purpose that are not posted on my site?
I would keep these articles on your site, only. If they are good, that is. If you are looking for articles to distribute, do some research yourself and write some quick 500-600 word articles that related to your site. Cheers...
Well, they don't have to be great articles. Just a few hundred words on the topic you want incoming links from. Spend, say, 30-45mins per article on 3-4 articles. Get say, 5 sites to use each article and you have 20 non-reciprocal targeted links.
LOL. Sorry, I forgot to add the word word! I didn't even notice that. I meant to say 500-600 word articles. There... better?
Hahaha, that is funny. Just a word of advice, if you are like me and don't write that well. Write up a couple of articles then pay someone to edit them. I get good articles written, exactly the way I want them and it only costs me $8.00 per article this way.
You can get 500 word articles for less that $8 too, especially if the writer doesn't need to do any research. If you're not a good writer, or don't enjoy it, then outsourcing is the way to go.
Why not just re-write the articles using a Thesaurus. When I create a good article for one of my web sites, I will then create similiar articles and then submit them to all of the websites that host free articles. Amazing how much traffic can be generated from those articles. I am doing this so much that I actually invested in a couple of programs that help me create similiar articles and post them with some semi-automation.
Writing "not so great" articles is a disservice to your site and to those who may reprint them. I'm the moderator of an articles newsgroup and I rejected articles that are not well written and edited. It doesn't serve the internet community to submit a bunch of junk. Bonnie
