Pretend you want to go to graduate school to get an MBA, how would you answer this question in one page of writing:

Why is the master's program a critical next step toward your short-and and long-term career goals?

The idea of going to graduate school has never crossed anyone's mind?

I'm in an MBA program, and I DID have to write a 1 page paper about that, haha. Here you go:

I am seeking the business knowledge and leadership skills needed to succeed as both a manager in the information technology realm, and also as a manager of people. Throughout ******* University’s MBA program, I will strive to achieve proficiency in applying modern business principles taught in the classroom to my current position as an IT network administrator. With the completion of the MBA program, I will be able to have the education and know-how required to advance my current career into becoming an MIS Director for either my current company or for others in the Bay Area.

Aside from my responsibilities as a network administrator for an established corporation, I am also the owner & founder of a new website in the PC gaming niche (http://www.cashgamers.net). I have successfully created a website from scratch (with no prior “webmastering” skills or experience) and have monetized it through various means of marketing and advertising. With an MBA education, I will gain the knowledge and business “know-how” needed to catapult my website to a much bigger scale. In time, I will work towards building my current website (and possibly more websites) to bring in revenue of over $5,000 a month.

If I were to choose another career path separate from my main ambition of becoming an MIS Director, my second preference would be to serve as an MIS consultant for internet startup companies in the Bay Area. I have developed a sincere passion for internet startups, and it would be a great experience for me to apply my skills to the benefit of other startup companies. Throughout the course of leading internet companies nearer to success, I would be able to network with like-minded entrepreneurs and establish business relationships that can very possibly lead to future joint ventures.

My perceived ultimatum is to come up with the next “billion dollar” idea for a website and have the skills necessary to implement and execute actions needed to achieve success. Though I have not laid the golden egg just yet, I am aiming to preparing myself via the means of expanding my current website, and to gain a formal business education pertinent to my everyday duties as both an IT professional and an online entrepreneur.

My overall expectation of ******* University’s MBA program is to gain a solid business education that underlies the different facets of facing business at the managerial level (finance, information technology, sustainability, leadership, etc). Though the current state of the economy appears to be grim, I am staying optimistic that the state of jobs and the marketplace will improve within the next few years and that I will transform into a prepared leader that is ready to serve amidst a recovered economy.

    Ikaruga,

Thank you. That's what I've been looking for. I'am not going to plagerize it or anything - I just needed some rough ideas on what to write.

You're lucky you only had to write one essay. I have to write 5, and the one I just showed you is the easiest one.
