Friendly advice? I am a designer who has been lucky enough to be making a living on referals alone. For the first time I need to write a formal bid. What would you recommend be included, avoided, etc.
    Cheers

Do not make guarantees that you can't honor, spell out what steps you will take and at what junction you will expect payment. Also clearly spell out how many revisions are allowed or many clients will abuse this policy.

Typically I ask for 1/3 at signing, 1/3 at approved draft, and the remaining 1/3 within 30 days of completion.

You really need to post this question in the Business section here at DP. This section is for Html Web Design.

Posting in Business will get you in touch with the people who frequent those areas on a regular basis.

NOTE: I reported this post to be moved to Business. Please delete my post when moved.
