8 cents for 100 words! By gum, how very generous! Sometimes online you think you've seen it all and then a business makes a post along these lines. What kind of cheapskate operation is your business? By any stretch of the imagination, your content writing rates are absolutely appallingly low, bordering on slave labor. Now I'm not a content writer, in the purest form I'm a professional copywriter charging often thousands of dollars for each copywriting long form sales letter. In business for almost three decades I like to think I know a thing or two these days about business and how to conduct yourself online. Associating your business name with such an incredible low rate of pay offered to content writers here, has to be a bad marketing move by anyone's standards - in fact I'm shocked that you would associate your business name with such a, (well, words fail me), practice. I mean come on whoever you are - at least have the decency to offer other good writers here the opportunity of giving you their best shot and pay accordingly. And no, 1 cent a word, nevermind 0.8 cents for 100 words is a stupidly low ballpark figure. If you want good writers, up the ante and offer damn good writers exactly what they are worth, between $25-$50 per article. That is the real going rate. o.8 cents per 100 words, how utterly daft can you possibly get? Absolutely bloomin' ridiculous! Good grief! Mark Andrews

Hello Stanley Set yourself a standard rate which you are not prepared to go under, my absolute bare minimum copywriting rate (long form sales letters is my speciality) is $50 per hour. Quite often I receive about $150 per hour which is more like it. People here often make the mistake of trying to compete on price alone without really trying to identify what their unique selling position is. If you know what your personal strengths are, you will play upon these areas of personal expertise to your ultimate benefit and charge accordingly. You would be surprised - many people cannot stand working with low priced writers as the signal given off immediately... is exceptionally poor quality standards of service. In general in the big outside wider world, professional people do not mind paying for very high quality goods and services. Discover your strong points, for example, if you can help a business, a company improve their productivity, their time resources, their staff management or human resources by just 10% in whatever field you are working in... they really are getting a superb deal. That 10% difference by playing into your strengths is worth usually to them many thousands of dollars annually as a company. If your fee for your services is but just 10% of the total revenue received annually, what a fantastic investment that is for them and for you in turn...you receive a reasonable compensation for your time and expertise. I know that 80 cents is not a big price, but that's all we can pay for now. And those who are making $150 an hour, should search for other job opportunities. Please do not flatter yourself - I would never, ever seek work in this manner especially from one offering such an appallingly low rate of pay. Clearly you have misunderstood my intention in posting. I posted merely to point out my utter disgust for your offered rate of pay to other writers here who might be interested. Even at this revised amount it's still appallingly low. Obviously you have a bit of a screw loose up top.
My advise to anyone considering this offer is to create your own site and you'll make more money putting Adsense on the site than working for a cheapskate like this. Shouldn't be too hard to outrank this guy's site, after all, your site would be competing with high quality stuff that someone paid a whopping 80 cents per hundred words who has the money to become a premium member of DP but somehow has no money to pay the people who will help him make money.
Hey, I'm offerring 80 cents per 100 words, which is $4 per article, and average price for such content is $5 per article. So, I'm spending $1200 a month just for regular news or games reviews. As for a premium member of DP, it costs $10-$15 a month, and I don't understand the purpose you write about that. And, I see you have just 2 feedbacks since May 2006. What's happen? Maybe you should think about your improvement not others...ok?
So, now I point out MY utter disgust. Firstly, there are millions writer in thousands writer teams, who are ready to write regular news or games reviews for $4-$6 per article. It's typical price for news articles here in DP. Secondly, I don't seek of any sales letter or other main content for my site because i already have good professional writer, who is writing articles from $25-$50, and he's very good specialist with more feedback than you. He also thinks $5 is good price for regular news articles I need. Please read carefully my thread. I need just news article writer. Thirdly, please don't give fantastic hopes to other writers( i mean your fantastic $150 per hour. I can believe $50 per hour). Also the best sales letter cost $200-$300. And, don't make me laugh that somebody would pay you $150 per hour if you have NO !!!! feedbacks Finally, I've received a LOT of similar posts about "incredibly low rate of pay". And, my experience is next only 25% of authors who write such posts about low payment are pro - other 75% are just ambitious writers with NO knowledge or writer skills.
