What I'm Looking For: I need new blog posters for my blog. I've owned and operated this blog since 1999. It's had it's ups and downs, at one point making $9k a month in ad revenue, dramatically down since I've committed my time and interest toward other projects. The topic/theme of this blog is movies, film, celebrities and trailers. If you have interest in the topic, it's likely you've run into my site once before. Who Should Apply: I'm looking for someone who is literate (spelling, grammar and all that noise), passionate, or can at least emulate passion about our subject (e.g.: if you don't watch and/or enjoy movies and/or TV, don't apply). You must know basic HTML/Photoshop (e.g.: img tags, links, bolds, etc.. and resizing and cropping in PS) and you must be able to stay on subject. Until now, I've always hired writers off of Craig's List. This has done me fairly well until an industry paper hired my writers from under me. What & How You'd Get Paid: At the end of the following month after the post has been made (after I've been paid by advertisers), 80% of ad revenue is divided among all posters based on their number of hits. The highest poster usually gets a $50-$200 bonus (depending on total revenue). I'm not gonna lie to you. You might not (probably won't) get rich off of this, but some writers (including myself, as I write and factor myself into the profit sharing) have managed to properly phrase headlines to get high SERPs and or even just written frequently enough that they've earned $1,200 a month off of half an hour a day. I'm relatively new to this forum, so I don't have a iTrader points, but I can give you references of previous writers, or if you impress me enough, I can make a down-payment towards the first month's posts. You'll find that I'm young, stupid and idealistic, so I try to be as fair as possible. In truth, it's a fun site to write for and the better writers get chances at celebrity interviews and writers in LA and NY get to go to press screenings and such. There you have it. Hit me up (PM) or otherwise if you have any interest in this or other questions. Best.
