    Hi Folks

I am a newbie to webbot writing, and have written my first one. I have put on my server and smiled for three days when it worked. Now, I want to use it write to files on the server. I can get this to work on my desktop, but once I upload it, it gives me a permission error. Presumably because it dosn't have write permission..

How do I give it permission to write to the local folder? Is it in the code or the settings on my domain?

I would really like some help, as I can't find anything about this anywhere!!

    Dan:)

That would depend on what server operating system you're using? Linux? Windows? etc?

Then you'll probably have to use your hosts control panel to set the folder permissions. Assuming they even let you, as allowing people to upload executable processes poses a security risk.
