You either ignored or missed my question entirely...why are you wanting to write an ebook?

If you are simply following guidelines by one of the MMO gurus, you are bound to be disappointed with the results.

Stick to working on your blog. Tell your story. Share what you learn along the way. Otherwise you will just be another one of the many folks whom the gurus led on a wild goose chase.

The single biggest tip I can give is to create some basic templates to follow. You won't use them forever, but when starting out they make your writing cleaner, more precise, more insightful, and more varied. Here's an example template that you could use

Opening: QQuestion that sets up a prelude to the topic
Body Early: history of problem or common mistakes made
Body Mid: Pose a piercing question or make a strong a statement
Body End: Define the answer into pieces, solve half of it, direct reader to follow steps to figure out the remainder by his own efforts.
Close: call to action followed by memorable reminder or famous quote.

Well there is a "Ebooks: How To Market And Sell Them by Darin Jewell and Conrad Jones (Nov 12, 2013) - Kindle eBook $2.87 Kindle Edition on Amazon (love to have put my affiliate link there lol) and there people like "Steve Scott" among others who seem to have a few ebooks written! Also been noticing "how to succeed in social media" types of ebooks are a common topic..Pinterest/Facebook/blog/etc!
Basically what I am saying is research the successful authors and see why they are popular! Also noticed the authors are either branding their names or "websites"
This might be a helpful link http://www.apple.com/ibooks-author/

Choose another subject. It's already been done about a million times, by a million different people. Absolutely nobody will even notice the addition of yet another ebook in the niche.

If you really must target that subject, find an interesting angle. It'll be the only way anyone will bother reading it, I'm afraid.

If you are writing for the beginners, then you can write about the fundamentals.

Having said that, you need to provide EXTRA.

That's how you create the "purple cow" effect.
