WP Theme Buyers and Makers. I need to ask you a question.

    Hey guys,

    I'm a designer and would love to make WP themes. I haven't officially created any but I do have the coding and design skills to do so.

    I'm thinking of possibly creating my own site that would strictly sell WP themes.

    Now my question is:

    Do people (or you) buy themes. (I'm talking about a wicked theme - $20 -$50).

    Is there a market for these themes?

    Is my idea gonna flop because the competition is just too much?

    If ur designing abd coding ability is great then u ca find many buyers.Why can't you try some in our trade forum ?

    Well I have designed a ton of logos on Sitepoint (I'm a regular submitter there) and I also do private contract work designing websites (not coding) and other stuff like banners, etc.

    I've been doing this kind of work for almost 2 years now.

    I don't have enough skills to code people's websites (in the sense that I can't always take someone's idea and make it work), but I do understand HTML, PHP etc and I've designed my own WP theme before.

    So I was thinking that there probably is a good fit for me.

    Perhaps I will design one in Photoshop and just see what people think before jumping into it headfirst.
