    Any WP casuals about?

I'm installing some plugins which require me to change file permissions:

    wp super cache

    wp database backup

Which files / folders should I be changing permissions for, and what should I be changing them to numerically?

I know people will have done this before, thanks in advance for any help offered.

If you are using a FTP program, all you need to do is right click the file or the folder and you will have the permission change option

If you are installing a plugin, read the installation instruction to know the numerical values to be changed

Thanks buddie, I finally got the bits sorted.

One thing though, if I've made a dir writable by others is it a good idea to change it back to 755?
